The Law of Attraction is the Law of the Universe that states that what you think about and focus on is what you will physically draw into your life to experience.
But what if you wanted to create more money for yourself by winning at gambling. Will the Law work for you then? The answer is Absolutely! -- as long as you are vibrating in the right place mentally while you are doing it.
You see, I know this for a fact because I have been both studying the Law of Attraction for 20 years as well as enjoyed gambling for approximately the same amount of time; and I can tell you without a doubt that as my studying and learning has progressed, so has my winnings and jackpots!
While this article will mostly be focused on winning at Video Poker games in casinos (because it is personally my favorite to play and I know the most about it) I am sure you will find a lot of tips here that can help you win at other games as well.
Here are a few simple tips to help you get into vibrational alignment with winning as well.
1. Don’t gamble with money you cannot afford to lose.
Now, this may sound like typical “moral” advice that anyone would tell you, but from a Law of Attraction standpoint it is especially important. The fact of the matter is, if you are playing with rent or bill money then you are playing with scared or guilt money! Playing with scared money will put you in a negative vibrational place right from the start and will make it much more difficult to draw more money to you.
If money is a little tight right now - start a JACKPOT JAR in your home. (Be sure to write Jackpot Jar on it by the way. This way every time you look at it you are giving yourself a positive affirmation. Eventually you will come to believe that that is exactly what it is. ) Put some money in it every week. It doesn’t matter if it is $2, $5 or $10. Just put a little aside until you have accumulated the amount you would like to bring to the casino with you. Maybe you can cash in the penny or change jar you have sitting in the corner of your bedroom that is doing nothing.
The point is to go on your trip with “guilt-free” or “fear free” money. You will automatically be in a better vibrational place knowing that it really doesn’t matter if you win or lose it, as long as you have fun!
2. Visualize Winning Before You Go
My father was one of the luckiest Video Poker players I have ever met. When he hit, it was usually for some pretty big amounts. I remember a $13,000 jackpot, a few $8,000 jackpots and too many $4,000 and $1,000 jackpots to count.
Now the funny thing is my father didn’t technically believe in the Law of Attraction per se, but a favorite hobby of his was to daydream (or visualize) about his next trip to Atlantic City and how he was going to win. He would say things like “First I am going to go to the quarter machine and hit $1,000 there, then I am going to take that money and go play the dollar machine and hit $4,000 there and then I am going to sit for an hour or two winning smaller amounts until I hit the big one.” (Is it any wonder I am a fan of Video Poker when I see someone win at it so easily?)
Now again, he didn’t do these visualizations as a “technique” to help him win, he just did it because it was fun for him think about. Regardless of the reason why he was doing it - I can tell you it absolutely worked!
It got to the point where if he won less than 3 jackpots in a weekend, it was considered a “slow” weekend.
Eventually he got so good at winning - the thought of losing didn’t even enter his mind. And Law of Attraction being what it is (what you think and believe is what you get) he hardly ever did lose.
So start visualizing winning before you even go. Start small if a “huge jackpot” seems too unbelievable to you. Say O.K. first, I’ll win $100 here, then win $300 there. Imagine the perfect hands that will be dealt to you. Feel the excitement you would feel as if you had really won. Envision yourself counting a huge wad of bills on your trip home and how good it feels. Do this as often as possible before your trip so you are already on a great vibrational level before you even arrive at the casino.
3. Practice at Home
If you are reading this, chances are you have access to the internet. The internet has tons of free sites where you can practice “winning.”
Find your favorite game free online and practice how winning feels. (Don’t pay attention to any losing hands in your free play) just focus on how “easy” it is to win. Feel as if you are playing with real money. Feel the excitement, feel your confidence grow as you get one winning hand after another.
Now that you are fully prepared for your trip, here are more tips for when you get there:
4. Watch Your Words
While negative thoughts can keep you from winning, those thoughts spoken aloud can be ten times more powerful. Be careful not to fall into typical “casino talk” that is so common for players. For instance:
How much are you down?
How much money do you have left?
Nobody seems to be hitting today (or the opposite).
Everybody seems to be hitting today except me.
I’m never lucky in this place.
I can’t get any play.
I can’t seem to do anything
I hate this place
This place Sucks!
Remember, Universe is following your lead. When you utter these kinds of thoughts and feelings, universe responds as always by bringing more of it to you.
Try more positive statements such as:
My winning machine is calling to me right now, I just have to listen.
My jackpot is waiting for me here somewhere and I am going to find it.
The right machine is going to jump right out at me.
I love coming here, I always have such a good time!
5. Truly Enjoy The Game While You Are Playing
Stop focusing on the credits that are going in and out or the amount of chips left on the table and bring your focus back to the enjoyment of the game itself.
There have been many times, especially in Video Poker where I have gone into “auto-mode”. I have been playing the game for so many years, that not much thought is needed to automatically hold certain cards that are dealt in a hand. Unfortunately this leaves my attention open to focus on the amount of credits in the machine instead, and if the amount is going down, my vibration goes with it.
I have since learned to refocus on the fun of the game itself. I now slow down my auto response. I sometimes pretend to be a novice to the game. I get myself deliberately excited over something as little as a pair of 2’s that are dealt to me, wondering how cool it would be to draw another one --possibly even two more of them! Yeah! I no longer wait for only the “big” hands to get me excited. I purposely enjoy the game. The more I enjoy, the more I am vibrating positively. The more I am vibrating positively, the more good hands I bring to myself that give me something to be genuinely happy about.
So slow it down. Remember why you are there. To have fun. If you are focused on having fun, the money will come naturally.
6. Switch Up Your Game
Did you ever wonder why “beginners luck” occurs so often? I firmly believe it is because a person who doesn’t know how a game is played, can’t have any negative thoughts or resistance associated with it.
An experienced video poker player may know that 9 out of 10 times that 5th card for the Royal Flush will not come up, but a novice has no idea. So where an experienced player might not believe it is going to happen because it is usually difficult, a novice has no such mental resistance.
If you feel you are not having any luck at your usual game of choice, go play a game you have no clue about. I can’t tell you how many times I have won money and didn’t even know what I hit or did to get it. What fun! Then I take the winnings from that and go back to my usual game with a whole new winning vibration.
7. Go on a Good Luck Charm Treasure Hunt
So, do good luck charms really work? We are talking about Law of Attraction here, so obviously they will work if you believe they will.
Does it have to be a certain charm? Not at all. My mother and I have been going to Atlantic City together for years. One of our favorite things to do when things are going slow is go on a Good Luck Charm Treasure hunt.
When someone wins a machine jackpot, the casinos place little white cards in the coin slot that says “Congratulations! You are a winner!, as the person is getting paid. Quite often people leave these lying around and I love to find them and use them as my good luck charm because they already have winning associated with them. If however, after 4 or 5 hands they haven’t brought any luck, we look for other things.
Sometimes it can just be a swizzle stick lying around. I will pick it up and hold it out as if it is the Holy Grail and claim “This is it! This is the one!” and gently place it on my machine. We’ve had more fun coming up with the strangest of charms to use and experiment with.
One time we drew a little Kilroy figure on a piece of paper. (You know the guy with the big nose and hands looking over the wall?). We put him on the top of our machine and had all sorts of fun with him. We would rub his little bald head before hitting the play button. My mom would turn him over and make him face the wall if he didn’t give us the second hand we wanted. We ended up having such a good time and so many laughs, that we ended up doing very well that day.
Now don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying it was “Kilroy” who made us win, but we were having so much fun playing with him, our mood and vibration so light and happy, that Universe had no choice but to respond in kind and matched our vibration with lots of winning hands and money. Remember it is all about the vibration you are sending out. Abundant good feelings brings more abundance in other ways.
8. If You Can’t Change Your Negative Vibe - Walk Away For Awhile
Sometimes no matter what you do, you can’t shake a losing attitude. If you find this happening to you it is time for a little mental distraction. You know the saying “No sense in throwing away good money after bad”
If you are operating from a negative place, it will only bring more negative (i.e. more losing). So it is time to walk away for awhile and change your mood in other ways. If you are lucky enough to have a hotel room go there for awhile. Rent a $10.00 comedy on the television (believe me you would lose a lot more than that if you kept playing negatively for 2 hours on the casino floor) and lighten your mood.
Maybe go window shopping in the Casino mall, listen to the live band playing in the lounge, go for a walk on the boardwalk or the strip. Go get yourself a great snack or meal you would normally not eat at home. Up your vibration, feel better and then go back and play. Again, it is all about vibration.
9. Put Your Emotion Into Your Winning Hands - Not Your Losing Ones
Let’s say you have 4 cards to a winning hand dealt to you and you do not pull the last card that you need. What is your immediate first response? Do you feel hopeful that at last the cards are starting to line up for you and a winning hand is on its way soon or do you feel disappointment or anger that you “missed” it and find yourself fuming for the next 20 minutes.
Again, your vibrational reaction makes all the difference. If you focus only on the hands you didn’t win guess what you will get? More non-winning hands. If you put your emotion into the excitement of the winning hands, no matter how small, guess what you will get? More winning hands.
Learn to change your focus and put more of your happy emotion into the winning hands only. This leads us to the last and most important tip to winning more with the Law of Attraction.
10. Gratefulness
Personally I have found that nothing helps me win more than constant gratefulness while I am playing. If I win even as little as 5 coins I will say “Thank you Universe and more of that please!“ Like I mentioned above, I purposely get myself more excited about the wins and have learned to feel little or no emotion at the losses. I also make a concentrated effort to appreciate every thing around me. I am grateful for the air conditioned casino in the summertime. The fun sounds and lights I am surrounded by. The free drinks. The shouts of people winning at the craps table across the casino ( I love hearing the excited sounds of others winning! It boosts my spirits and makes me want to win even more, so I can share in the excitement.) I enjoy the company of the people I go down to the casino with, the food in all the restaurants, the clean hotel room.
Remember the reason you went was to have fun. Make that your priority and Universe will respond in kind and make sure it is fun for you.

Law of Attraction Relationships - Have You Made Room For It?
It was a Friday night, almost a year ago, when my best friend and I were sitting on the living room floor in her apartment sharing a pizza and a couple of cold beers. As was customary, the conversation ended up where it did so many times at our little “get togethers”. Where was “he” and when was “he” going to show up in her life? The man of her dreams, her future husband.
She had been single for almost two years and we’re not talking a little dry spell here, we’re talking draught! She hadn’t even been asked out on a single date in all that time
When I first started suggesting exercises to her that she could use to attract the man she wanted she had laughed me off. (She always thought me a little strange, but I love her to death.) Finally after about 8 months of absolutely no prospects she was willing to try anything!
We started with the basics. I told her to write down all the things that she was wanting in a new boyfriend. I had her mentally picture being with this wonderful person and laughing with him, confiding in him, trusting him and having fun with him, even though she didn’t have anyone particular in mind yet.
But surprisingly (especially to me) nothing had come of it yet. It was something that had really been bugging me because I could not figure out why it wasn’t working. She was an attractive girl, intelligent, had a good job, and was a lot of fun to be with. She had been doing the practices on a daily basis (so she says) and still nothing. I just couldn’t figure it out -- until that “fateful” Friday evening.
You see the reason we were having our little indoor picnic on her living room floor was because there wasn’t anyplace else in her apartment to sit. Everything was covered with shopping bags, clothes, magazines, bills, you name it, it was all over the place. (As great as my friend is, neatness is definitely not one of her strong points.)
So when we got to that usual point in the conversation where she asked yet again “Why can’t I just meet him already?! I looked at the chaos around us and jokingly replied “Even if you did, where would you put him?” We both laughed at that for a minute, but I suddenly realized that maybe there was something to that after all.
As much as she always said she was prepared for him to show up – was she really? Where would she put him? Did she even have room for him? Not just in her apartment – but how about her life?
So then I asked her seriously. “Let’s say he did appear tomorrow, would you be ready for him? What if he wanted to stay here?”
Her response pretty much told me everything. “Are you kidding? Look around you! I wouldn’t let anybody see this place looking like this except you!”
So then I asked “So what would you have to do to be comfortable with him here?”
And the list began. “Well first I would have to obviously clean this place up. I wouldn’t want him to think I am a total slob or worse some high maintenance shopaholic. I would have to paint the walls, buy new sheets for the bed unless he’s a fan of Hello Kitty. Let’s see… new underwear, new nightgown, new robe, I would definitely lose ten pounds because I couldn’t walk around naked looking like this…”
The list went on and on. I could barely keep up with her as I grabbed a pen and paper to get it all down. We even decided she would have to make room for him in one of her closets, at least leave him one empty clean drawer in both the bedroom and the bathroom for his things. By the time we were done my hand was cramped from writing so much.
I had suddenly realized that while all of this time she had been saying she was ready for someone to come into her life, the truth was subconsciously she had this incredible list of all the reasons why she wasn’t ready or prepared for him to show up. So we decided that the obvious solution was to get her physically as well as mentally prepared for this person to become a reality.
I was glad this conversation took place on a Friday night, because we worked like demons that entire weekend. We found ourselves giggling as we made her place “mate-ready.” She even bought “him” a new toothbrush to keep in the bathroom. She actually went as far as considering ordering the sports channel on cable for him – but I talked her out of that one. First, because we didn’t even know if he would be a big sports fan, but more importantly, if he was, we didn’t want to give him a reason to sit around and watch it all day long.
By the time Sunday night rolled around we were both exhausted but feeling a lot better. Her place never looked better, (I finally got to eat at the table for the first time) and she suddenly did feel that if the man of her dreams showed up tomorrow she would be absolutely prepared for him.
For me it was an eye opening experience because I realized how rarely we pay attention to the little things. We don’t notice that we might be saying one thing, but in reality are acting in a completely different manner.
So the question to you is this: Do you have any of these little unconscious things preventing you from receiving what you want? Have you made plans or room for what you desire in your life?
If you want a new house, have you started throwing away the stuff in the old place preparing for the move? If it’s a new wardrobe, have you cleaned out your closet to make room for your new items? If it’s a relationship, have you starting acting the way you would want your new love to see you? If it’s money, have you sat down and decided how you were going to smartly invest the millions coming your way? What charities you will donate to? Have you made an itinerary on your computer of the trips you plan on taking?
Whatever it is that you are wanting, have you taken the physical actions that you would be taking if you already had it?
The Law of Attraction works when you get on the same vibrational level as the thing that you are wanting. So while you should absolutely think great positive thoughts as often as possible, definitely say affirmations to get it into your subconscious, positively be grateful for all you currently have…you should also take some physical action to show Universe that you are so sure it is on its way to you, that you are already physically preparing for it.
Oh, and by the way, in case you wanted to know what happened with my girlfriend. She met “him” about a month and a half later. She probably would have met him sooner but that’s how long it took for her to lose those pesky 10 pounds. (Our Friday night beer and pizza nights probably didn’t help.) They are now happily engaged and he has moved in. Why? Because now he has some room to!
So do not only tell Universe that you are ready for what you are wanting, show it and act as if it is already here! Now that’s what getting in alignment is all about.

Fun Manifesting Experiment # 1 - Playing With Time
I have not had to use an alarm clock in over ten years. It is something that I have gotten quite used to over time, but it struck me this morning as I decided to give myself an extra hours sleep, how I just naturally take that for granted.
I normally wake up at about 4:30 in the morning quite naturally. While some people might shudder at that, I have come to love it. To me, there is nothing more peaceful than enjoying the silence of the early morning before the rest of the world (or at least my neighborhood) comes alive. Besides I am definitely a “morning person” and find I get more done in the first morning hours than most people do by their afternoon.
I was more tired than usual due to work I did around the house this weekend, so when 4:30 rolled around I decided I wanted an extra hour of sleep. I simply told my higher self to re-wake me at 5:30 and went back under the covers.
Sure enough, at 5:28 I woke up feeling more refreshed than before and said “Thank you“ to Universe as naturally as I would have said it to any person that woke me up at a time I requested.
As I was making my coffee however, I started laughing to myself how strange that would probably seem to other people who have never played with Universe in this way.
What comes to me so naturally now would probably be considered a minor miracle by others. I think back now and remember the little thrill chills I used to feel when Universe started answering my requests so easily, before I learned I could trust it so completely.
My husband has even gotten use to this little “wake up call” I request of Universe. No matter where we are or how late we have gone to bed the night before, I simply ask him what time he wants to wake up and he responds as naturally as if I was about to set the alarm clock by our bed.
So if you want to have a little fun try this experiment. Set your alarm clock as you normally do for the next two weeks, but ask Universe before you go to sleep to wake you 5 or ten minutes earlier.
Simply put your request in and say “O.K. Universe (or Higher Self if you prefer), tomorrow I would like you to wake me up at 5:20 in the morning. Thank you.”
Act as if you were asking a reliable friend or spouse of even giving your request to a wake up service. Believe without a doubt or worry that your wake up call will come through and watch what happens.
If it doesn’t work the first day or two, keep asking and believing. The trick is to not talk yourself out of it.
Don’t say things to yourself like “It will never work, because I am such a heavy sleeper” or “if an alarm clock could barely wake me how is Universe going to do it?” Say it and feel it as if it is a foregone conclusion.
You will be as amazed as I originally was. Then you will probably end up taking it for granted like I do now, which is a good thing.
Proving to yourself over and over that Universe will do whatever you request, just inspires you to ask and believe more -- which is one of the most important things you need to do to make the Law of Attraction work for you.
So, give it a try over the next few days. If you don’t want to wait until tonight or tomorrow morning to do it you can try this experiment today. Try to guess the time without looking at a watch or a clock (another trick I have mastered - I am usually correct within a 2 to 3 minute window.) Simply ask Universe “What time is it?” and wait for the answer to pop into your head. Then go check a watch or a clock. Keep practicing. Eventually you will have the number pop into your head automatically.
Another trick you can try is to ask what time you will arrive somewhere. If you are on your way someplace, ask Universe what time you will arrive there. Be sure to empty your own thoughts before asking. Don’t attempt to analyze the mileage or traffic or any of the things your brain will naturally want to do. Just simply ask the question and see what number pops into your head.
With a little practice, this too becomes very easy. I’ve become such a natural at this, that just for fun when someone asks what time I will be somewhere I will say something like “I will be there at 7:53 pm.” They laugh as if it is a joke -- my being so specific. Most of the time they don’t even think to check what actual time I arrive, but I always do and enjoy my private little joke with Universe when I am again within a 2 to 3 minute window.
So have fun with this. Start proving to yourself that there is indeed more going on in the background and you have far more intuitive powers than you have every given yourself credit for.
Till tomorrow,

Just For Fun Manifestation
Hello All! Another great day to give this life thing another shot - isn’t it?
Sorry I use that line so often but it is truly the first thing I think of when I wake up every morning so it just seems natural to type it here.
I created an interesting manifestation one day last week that keeps popping into my head so I guess I am meant to write about it here, small as it is.
Then again I have learned to see the small manifestations as important as the larger ones; because regardless of the size, it is constant proof to me that Universe is always listening and delivering what I request. Always and in All Ways.
So anyway, last Thursday morning I got in the car with my son to drive him to school. I have been as happy as a clam ever since I got my satellite radio installed in the truck because I love the 70’s and 80’s channels filled with all my old favorite songs commercial free.
One of my favorite old songs is a corny one that came out in 1979 called Makin’ It. It was from an old T.V. show and had been on the charts a couple of weeks back then. It‘s just an upbeat tune I have always loved.
As soon as we were buckled in I turned to my son and said “You know what song I am in the mood for? Makin It. Then I looked up at the ceiling and said “Hear that Universe? I want to hear the song Makin’ It” and I caught my son doing the old eye roll as I hit the button for the 70s station.
The rolling of his eyes wasn’t because I was talking out loud to Universe. He’s quite used to that and I am happy to report is starting to do it himself. It was more due to the fact that on the rare occasion that the song does come on, I usually full blast it and sing it at the top of my lungs.
But to my slight disappointment and my son’s huge relief we didn’t hear it on our short ride that morning.
The fun occurred in the afternoon however when I went to pick him up. As soon as we got in the car together and I turned on the radio - there was the song!
But that wasn’t the fun part!
The fun part is when I realized the song was not on the 70’s station as it should have been, but was on the least likely station I would ever expect to find it. It was on the Opie and Anthony channel.
For those of you who don’t know, the Opie and Anthony show is an edgy talk radio show syndicated all over the country. I happened to have left the station on while running my errands during the day.
Unbeknownst to me, the singer of Makin’ It, David Naughton, had been arrested the previous day for spousal battery, and Opie and Anthony were discussing it on the show along with playing the song in the background.
Now believe me when I say, for no other reason would this station be playing this song. This is the kind of song they live to abuse. Even my son’s mouth hung open as he realized what station was playing it. “This is on Opie and Anthony?” I just laughed as I said “Universe works in mysterious ways!“ and listened to the rest of the broadcast which played clips of the song in the background at least another 3 times.
So I guess the lesson here is, do not assume to know the best way Universe will bring you what you are asking for and do not limit the ways it can bring it. If I had left the 70’s station on searching for the song, there was a good chance I would have never heard it. Instead Universe delivered it in under 7 hours from a most unlikely source.
So if you would like to have a little fun today, pick something unusual you would like to see manifest to prove to yourself that Universe is indeed always working in the background.
Make it a pink elephant, a blue feather or a purple car. Then keep your eyes open and watch in amazement as a delivery truck with a giant pink elephant logo on it pulls in front of you on the highway.
You will not ever doubt Universe again.

It Isn't Good - It Isn't Bad - It Just "Is"
Hi Everyone!
Every once in awhile I come across this great message that always makes me just stop and remember. It usually seems to “appear” in a book or on a website if I am in the middle of a emotion I am trying to soothe myself out of . The message is so simple and clear and I know my life would be infinitely more peaceful if I would just remember it more consistently. The message?
“It isn’t good - it isn’t bad --it just IS!”
Anytime we suffer from what we term a “negative” emotion or situation it is simply considered negative due to some past association with it. I’ve use this example before in some of my posts and articles:
If it is raining out -- is it a good or a bad thing?
To a farmer dealing with a drought it is an awesome thing but to a bride on her wedding day -- not so much.
But the rain itself is not good or bad. It simply IS.
Sometimes Universe (or your higher self, if you prefer) has something greater or bigger in store for us that we might not be able to see in the situation right in front of us.
For example: Maybe the rain on a bride’s wedding day slowed down traffic so an accident that would have involved a family member on dry pavement didn’t happen after all. Talk about which scenario the bride would have preferred more!
The point is, by keeping this message in mind it will help take the emotion out of your current situation. It gives you a chance to take a breath and realize that the world or the Universe is not out to get you; it is simply an event that is happening. How you choose to deal with it or think about it next is up to you.
Can you find something positive in it? Find an underlying reason why it might be happening in your best interest? Is there something you can do to turn whatever is happening into a memorable event?
If you are on a first date and there is a blizzard, instead of worrying about the date being ruined can you turn it into the world’s best snowball fight? If you want to take someone out but do not have the money for an expensive dinner, can you create the world’s most romantic picnic on the beach?
So much of our personal pain occurs when we mistakenly believe something should be one way and it turns out another.
It is not the situation itself that is the problem; just our preconceived notion of what we believe it should be like that is the problem.
By remembering that something “Isn’t good or bad, it just simply IS” we can retrain ourselves to stay in the moment. We can act calmly, think clearly and take the next best step without all of our negative emotion screwing it up and making the situation worse.
So keep this message in mind the next time things don’t go the way you think they “should” go. Tell yourself it just simply “Is” and move on calmly from there. You might be surprised how much easier you get through it.

Stop Putting Off Feeling Good Until Later and Feel Better Now!
I have learned a lot about the Law of Attraction over the years, and one of the most important lessons I learned was one of the hardest for me to put into practice. But once I did learn -- it was a whole new world.
It is the lesson of simply feeling good now regardless of the circumstances. Not waiting until this was done first, or that was accomplished before I would allow myself to feel better.
There is a favorite quote of mine from Abraham-Hicks that simply says “You can never get it wrong and you can never get it done.” At first the last part may seem a little disheartening because unconsciously many of us believe that there is an invisible finish line somewhere, but if you think about it truly you will realize that one doesn’t exist.
Think back if you will and see if this sounds familiar to you.
1. As soon as I am done with high school and become an adult, then I will be happy.
2. As soon as I graduate college and start my new career than I will be happy.
3. As soon as I get that promotion, then I will be happy.
4. As soon as I meet the person of my dreams and get married, then I will be happy.
4. As soon as I own my own home, then I will be happy.
5. As soon as I have 2.5 children, then I will be happy.
6. As soon as my children are old enough to feed and clothe themselves, then I will be happy.
7. As soon as my children are old enough to move out of the house, then I will be happy.
8. As soon as I retire, then I will be happy.
According to the list above we will not allow ourselves to be happy until age 75! Not to mention that the list above is not even half of it. How about all those times you told yourself, as soon as I get that bonus check, lose those 10 extra pounds, get the construction finished on the house, etc.?
The fact of the matter is, we do not ever get it done, and nor are we supposed to. We are creative beings. We are here to create always -- in all ways! If it was “all done” we would have no reason to be here anymore.
So if the above statement is true, there is no sense in putting off happiness until… because there will never be an until. We will always be desiring more.
Now some people might consider this a conundrum. Such as a which is it? Should I just be happy with what I have or should I always strive to create more?
The answer to that is both! Be as happy as you can right now with what you have as well as look with excitement at the more you can create! It is simply a myth that says a happy, content person is an unmotivated one. In fact, if you look around you - you will find the opposite is true.
It is the happy, confident, satisfied people who can make a success of everything they touch. They are the ones with all of the friends and connections! They are the ones that have everything just fall into place almost effortlessly. They are the ones who don’t mind taking a new risk because they are the ones not basing their self worth on the failure or success of that risk. They are the ones who say cheerfully “Oh well, that didn’t work out, I’ll just give something else a shot!”
And this attitude of coarse brings us back to how the Law of Attraction really works. When you are on a positive vibrational level more good things come to you.
So stop waiting to be happy! Write down all the positives in your life right now. Spend your time appreciating every little thing. Start realizing that just because you are happy does not mean that you will not want to accomplish anything more. Realize it is just the opposite. Knowing that you don’t “need” more to be happy takes the pressure off. Knowing that you can be happy regardless of the circumstances makes any “goals” much less intimidating.
So enjoy high school now and appreciate all the new experiences; enjoy college and the fun of learning something new; enjoy your singledom and appreciate the freedom of being able to do whatever you want to do whenever you want, enjoy taking care of the very young ones and appreciate that all they need in this world to be happy is you, enjoy the ones who are growing older now and saying and doing the funniest things, enjoy the current job - do it to the best of your ability and enjoy the company of your coworkers as you work up the corporate ladder. You get the idea. Find all of the positives in every position you find yourself in while striving to create even better experiences.
One day when you look back, you will feel so much satisfaction knowing that you enjoyed every single minute of your journey, that there is not a spare minute for regrets.

Law of Attraction - Sometimes When Life Gets Too Crazy It is Time To "Just Float"
It's funny how sometimes a line from a movie can stick with you practically forever.
Like "Leave the Gun, Take the Cannoli" from The Godfather. My guy friends have sometimes found the strangest circumstances to pull that line out and while I admit it is usually pretty funny, I would never admit it to them. I usually just give them the old eye roll.
One of my favorite lines from a movie and one that I personally use all the time is "Just Float."
I heard it one of my all time favorite holiday movies Home For The Holidays. A great Thanksgiving movie that makes you feel better knowing that you are not the only one who has to deal with the crazy relatives during the holiday season.
The main character is played by Holly Hunter who is having a really bad week.
She loses her job, stupidly kissed her boss, finds out her teenage daughter is planning on having sex for the first time while she will be away, catches a horrible cold and to top it all off has to spend the Thanksgiving holiday with her off-the-wall parents. It is not one of her better weeks.
Just as she is about to completely lose it, her teenage daughter gives her some advice when dropping her at the airport.
She reminds her mother of when they went on a tropical vacation together and went snorkeling. She tells her mother to remember how calm and peaceful it was when they were just gently floating among the beautiful tropical fish without a care in the world. She told her mother to remember that feeling when the world seems to be going crazy around her. "Just Float, Remember to Just Float."
I have used that line myself ever since. When I've just gotten off the phone with a customer service agent who refuses to hear what I am saying or my young son who is also very good at blocking me out, I say to myself "Just Float" When I am fighting with some mechanical device that refuses to cooperate or can't make head or tails of instructions that are supposed to be "so easy a child could do it" I tell myself to "Just Float".
I truly believe that we aren't meant to paddle furiously all of the time. Sometimes it is our job to "Just Float". To remain calm; to rise to the surface. To quietly observe; to gain back our perspective. To remain unaffected as life's waves move gently beneath us, until we catch our breath; until an easier way is presented to us.
So the next time you find yourself paddling upstream to the point where you want to scream take a deep breath, exhale and "Just Float."

Why You Never Too Old To Start Learning The Law of Attraction
Oprah had a pretty inspiring show on yesterday. I don’t usually watch Oprah because I am usually running around doing something else in the afternoons, but this show was about how to further use The Secret, so out of curiosity I tuned in.
While nothing was said that was too earth shattering or different, there was a very inspiring piece about Louise Hay.
Louise Hay is a best selling author as well as the extremely successful publisher of Hay House books. If you have purchased any best selling Law of Attraction books over the last 10 years or so, you might be very familiar with the name.
Louise didn’t discover the Law of Attraction until she was almost 50 years old. Now at 81 she has accomplished more in 30 years than most people do in their entire lifetimes (not to mention she looks awesome)!
This is a woman who has an extremely difficult upbringing. Her childhood was unstable and impoverished, and her teen years were marked by abuse.
She went through a divorce after 14 years of marriage and when later in life she was diagnosed with cancer, she put her philosophies into practice and instead of using surgery or drugs developed an intensive program of affirmations, visualization, nutritional cleansing and psychotherapy. Within six months she was cancer free.
In 1984 she published her book titled You Can Heal Your Life based on her own experiences and included the information she talked about in her work shops. It explains how our beliefs and ideas about ourselves are often the cause of our emotional problems and physical maladies and how, by using certain tools, we can change our thinking and our lives for the better.
It reached the New York Times bestseller list and stayed there for 13 consecutive weeks.
To date, over 35,000,000 copies of the book have been sold. But she didn’t stop there. She then became the head of Hay House , a prosperous corporation that sold more than ten million books and tapes since its inception. It includes authors such as Wayne Dyer, Doreen Virtue, among others. This was a venture she started in her living room.
She then proceeded to start the Hay Foundation and The Louise L. Hay Charitable Fund, two non-profit organizations established by Louise that support many diverse organizations, including those dealing with AIDS, battered women, and other challenged individuals in our society.
Now at 81 years old, she had just come out with her first movie release titled, You Can Heal Your Life: The Movie.
So let’s do a quick rundown shall we?
Unstable and poor childhood
Abused as a teenager
Divorced after 14 years of marriage
Diagnosed with Cancer (this occurred later in life however)
Learns about the Law of Attraction at age 50
Starts training in a ministerial program
Becomes a popular speaker at the church and starts counseling clients
Lectures at workshops on loving ourselves and healing our lives
Cures herself of cancer through alternative means
Publishes her own New York Times Bestseller and sells over 35,000,000 copies
Forms “The Hayride” , a famous support group for people with AIDS
Starts her own publishing house with some of the greatest Law of Attraction writers today
Starts two non-profit organizations in her name
Contributes tons of articles to newspapers and magazine articles
Appears on television around the world
Has a monthly column titled “Dear Louise” that appears in more than 50 publications around the world
At 81 years old, releases her first-ever film on her life and work You Can Heal Your Life: The Movie
So, if you ever had a single doubt about all the different ways the Law of Attraction could work for you, or had a moments hesitation about how old you are when you are beginning to learn it, look to this awesomely inspiring woman.
It is never too late. Think about it. Isn’t even just one day lived in complete peace worth it? Now just imagine doing it for the rest of your lifetime.

How Two Great Lines From A Holiday Movie Can Help Put Your Life Into Perspective
There is a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday movie out titled Home for the Holidays. Directed by Penny Marshall and starring Holly Hunter and at least 8 other great movie stars, I consider it a classic and am surprised it is not played as often around Thanksgiving as the movie A Christmas Story is played at Christmas time.
The story is about a woman going home on the Thanksgiving holiday and having to deal with her crazy family as well as all the chaos going on in her life.
Two scenes from the movie really stick with me; not only during the holidays, but truly all year long. I find myself using them time and time again during stressful times.
The first is a scene when Holly Hunter’s character asks the guy she is interested in how he does it. How he keeps so calm when life is so filled with chaos? He answers by singing a line from a Diana Krall song; “ I pick myself up, dust myself off..and start all over again.” She is so impressed with that thought that she sings it to herself as well. I find myself often singing that line to myself when I find myself hitting one of life’s “brick walls”.
The second scene I think about often is when Holly’s teenage daughter gives her own advice to her mother before she leaves for her stressful trip.
She reminds her mother of when they went on a tropical vacation together and went snorkeling. She tells her mother to remember how calm and peaceful it was when they were just gently floating among the beautiful tropical fish without a care in the world. She told her mother to remember that feeling when the rest of her world starts driving her nuts. “Just Float.”
I love “Just Float”. I use it all the time. When I’ve just gotten off the phone with a customer service agent who refuses to hear what I am saying or my young son who is also very good at blocking me out, I say to myself “Just Float” When I am fighting with some mechanical device that refuses to cooperate or can’t make head or tails of instructions that are supposed to be “so easy a child could do it” I tell myself to “Just Float“.
I truly believe that sometimes we aren’t meant to paddle all of the time. Sometimes it is our job to “Just Float”. To remain calm; to rise to the surface. To quietly observe; to gain back our perspective. To remain unaffected as life’s waves move gently beneath us, until we catch our breath; until an easier way is presented to us.
So the next time you find yourself paddling upstream to the point where you want to scream take a deep breath, exhale and “Just Float.”

What is Your Financial Set Point?
Creating money isn’t difficult. There are literally millions of ways on this Earth to create money, and probably millions more that haven’t even been discovered yet. So why does it seem so many have a problem creating more of it in their lives?
If you have been trying in vain to create more money in your life, but can’t seem to get past a certain point, it is time to figure out exactly what your Financial Set Point is.
A Financial Set Point is a subconscious number (or ceiling) you have set in your mind as the amount of money you deserve or are entitled to and usually can’t get past.
For example, say a person makes about $50,000 a year. He or she has been making this amount for awhile and consider themselves pretty comfortable with it. Without even realizing it, they have made this their financial set point. Then one day they decide they want more than that. But by being unaware of that unconscious ceiling, no matter what they do, they can’t seem to break through that limited amount. So, now they get a new job for $75,000 a year, but suddenly within a few months that job folds, or the roof on their house goes and it costs them exactly $25,000, or they unexpectedly need to buy a new car or one of a million things happen that will somehow cost them that extra amount of money.
Without even realizing it, they are sabotaging themselves to keep ending up back at that $50,000. You will even hear them comment that no matter what they do they can’t ever seem to get anywhere. This is because they have unconsciously set this financial ceiling and the law of attraction being what it is, will ensure that they keep living it out time and time again.
The Law of Attraction is the Universal law that states you will receive what you think about and are focused on. If you are so used to having a certain amount of money and never consciously decide to change that amount in your mind, the Universe will bend over backwards to make sure that your “old” set point keeps being reached.
Think of the many stories you have heard about people who unexpectedly came across a lot of money due to an inheritance, a surprisingly successful endeavor or even the winning of a lottery. Then, in time, you find out that due to bad investments, unexpected expenses, the hiring of unscrupulous people, whatever the case may be -- they ended up back where they started financially. This is no “accident”. Even though they might have had the physical money for awhile, mentally they still considered themselves worth the same “locked in” amount. You can look at the opposite side of this example as well. Take Donald Trump for instance. Here is a man who must have a financial set-point of at least a billion dollars. Because regardless of the rough times he went through, times he was even hundreds of millions of dollars in debt, he managed it turn it all around and brought himself back up to his own financial set point of being a billionaire! In his mind, anything less is unacceptable.
So the question to ask yourself is this; what is your financial set-point? Do you seem to keep ending up with the same amount in your bank account year after year? When you have experienced an unexpected increase in money, has something always happened to bring you back to that mark? Do you constantly focus on your money going out and calculating what you have left as opposed to focusing on more money coming in and your account constantly growing? What is the most you have ever had in your bank account and how long did it last?
Within just a few minutes of analyzing your financial past, it is usually pretty easy to figure out what your own financial set-point is.
So now that you know what your set point is, what do you do?
Well the first thing to do is to decide to consciously change it. Decide what you want your new set point to be and commit yourself to knowing that it has to happen. Imagine it, feel it, write it down. State to the Universe here and now that this is the amount you are now worth! State that “obviously $50,000 doesn’t do it for me anymore – so my new set point is $200,000!” Tape it up somewhere where you can see it every day. Say to yourself everyday “O.K. how am I going to make this $200,000? What if I tried this? What if I tried that? You go to a store and see a scratch- off ticket with $200,000 as the grand prize. That’s the exact number you have been thinking of and it jumps right out at you – so play the dollar to win it.
You have to remember that Universe will happily bring you whatever you want simply because you stated that you wanted it and kept your focus on receiving it. Universe really doesn’t care how much you want or even why. It will just as easily bring you a million dollars as it will bring you a penny. Money is only energy as is everything else and Universe has no preferences as to the amount that you ask for.
So do you want $200,000 or even $20,000,000? Whatever amount you choose is perfect! Now make this your new financial set point and refuse to accept anything less. Mentally act as if this is your new net worth and anything less is not an option. Then keep your eyes open for any and all possible ways Universe is finding to bring it to you. Jump into opportunities that a $50,000 a year set point person wouldn’t attempt, but a $200,000 set point person would do with excitement.
The Law of Attraction is a universal law. It has to do its job – now you just simply do yours and decide exactly what it is you want and allow it to come to you.

If You Want To Remain Positive, Watch What You Watch
O.K. I am about to start this article with a shocking statement. I don't ever watch the news or read the newspaper. Whew! -- There I said it!
I used to -- every day. I would watch at least one full hour of news on television and read at least one full newspaper. I didn't want to miss out on a single current important news story.
Then again, those were also the days I walked around worried about everything in the world I could do nothing about. The days I would go into work cranky, or snap at my husband after work. The days I wondered why I found it so hard to remain positive and upbeat like all of the Law of Attraction books I had been reading back then were telling me to be.
That was before I realized how much of an effect that negative people and news could have on my entire mental outlook.
It is not just enough for us to only focus on the negative thoughts that go through our minds if we want to learn how to effectively use the Law of Attraction. It is just as important that we are conscious of the people who surround us, and the information we take in on a conscious and subconscious basis.
Now I know this may be hard for a lot of people to digest. I've even had people say something to the effect of "People like you are the reason why the country is the way it is today. Not being properly informed of what is going on in the world is being totally irresponsible."
While on the outside I accept the criticism with a smile and an "everyone is entitled to their own opinion" look, on the inside I am actually incredulous and laughing.
First of all, what is printed in the media is not even close to what is really going on in the world today! By the time a story has passed through the filter of what our government will allow it to print, the political party slant given to it depending on the news organization that is putting it out, the frequent errors of journalists regarding the facts, and the dramatization of the headlines and lead-ins created by the publishers in order to outsell their competitors, the real story does not even resemble what the "unbiased" truth is.
Maybe once upon a time, but not anymore.
Secondly, if I am the one who is going to control and create a peaceful life for myself and my family, I am aware that one of the first things that needs to go is the fear factor.
Fear is a great motivator used by others to get what they want. And there are certain groups that wield it well. Like the IRS, our current government administration, the drug companies, the television news shows and all print media; they dedicate all of their resources into feeding into our fears in order to get us to do or buy what they want.
Ever catch one of those lead ins for the nightly news? Something like "Is the dinner you are eating right now killing your family?! Tune in tonight at 11:00 to find out!" Heck by 11 o'clock my family could already be dead.
Then there are the drug company commercials that start with "did you know 1 out of every 3 people will suffer from this in their lifetime? Or 1 out of 2 men are diagnosed with this? According to them, what are the chances that you are not someday going to have to end up on one of those lists?
And of coarse there are the depression commercials. I get depressed just listening to them. The low drawling sympathetic voice asking if you are tired, feeling overwhelmed, having trouble concentrating...you might be suffering from depression. Well if I wasn't before, I certainly am now after hearing your commercial.
When I first started really understanding how the Law of Attraction worked, these news stories and ads got me angry. The power of suggestion is strong, and it angered me that they could possibly be making many people ill just subjected them to these subconscious fears on a daily basis; all in order to draw ratings and customers.
Until I realized the simple solution was to just not watch anymore. I decided to experiment and give it a break for a few weeks. I would pop in dvd's like The Secret or What The Bleep while I was getting ready in the morning for background noise instead of the news. I would listen to inspirational tapes instead of news reports on the radio and I would go to inspirational websites every morning while having coffee, instead of reading the newspaper.
I can't tell you the miraculous difference it made! Where I used to walk out of the house depressed and fearful at the 8 horrible news stories I just heard, I now found myself walking out feeling great and optimistic after hearing a dvd tell me for an entire half hour that I can be or create anything I want to!
The one fear I had when I first gave up the news, was that I might actually miss out on a news report that was important and could effect me personally. Such as a food or toy recall, traffic accident causing backups, etc. But I found to my delight that Law of Attraction being what it is, if there was something I needed to be made aware of, Universe found a way for me to hear about it. Be it from a co-worker or the man at the deli. A friend or family member. Sometimes even an email. Universe always made sure (and still does of coarse) that I somehow found out about anything that might concern me directly.
What little thrill bumps that always gives me in itself!
What started out as an experiment has now become my new way of life. And I can honestly say I don't miss a single minute of it. Instead of being glued to the set when the news comes on nowadays, I find myself jumping for the remote to change it immediately. I don't want to be afraid anymore. I want to create a peaceful and positive life.
So why don't you give it a try? Even for as little as 2 weeks and watch the difference it can make in your life. See how much calmer, confident and better you feel when you constantly feed yourself positive messages instead of negative ones. I'm willing to bet you won't want to go back either!

Using the Law of Attraction Through The Virtual Reality Process
"Everything is about thought. Everything is about vibration. Everything is about the way you feel. Practice scenarios that feel good--and never mind reality. Reality is only a brief moment in time that you keep repeating." Abraham Hicks.
If you really want to know how to attract what you desire in life, you will find there is no easier way to do so than to take the quote above to heart.
Practicing Scenarios also known as the Virtual Reality Process is an exercise where you actively imagine what you want to have in your life as opposed to being focused on any lack you might be experiencing right now.
If there is something in your current experience that you are dissatisfied with, it is only due to past negative thoughts that you have had about the subject that brought it about.
Now you can spend days, weeks, even months thinking about where you got those limiting beliefs from, but the truth is, it doesn’t matter. All that matters is what you think about from here on in. The past is over, it means nothing…let’s start from here. This moment of NOW is where all of your power is.
So NOW it is time to focus on what you do want to have. Close your eyes and imagine what it is you are wanting in your life. Actively see, but more importantly feel what it is like to have these things.
For instance, say you are having a problem with money. You’re currently worried about it quite often. You get a knot in your stomach when you open the bills or the credit card statements. You cringe anytime you have to buy something unexpectedly and so on. As long as your focus is constantly on lack of money it is not hard to see what tomorrows experience with money is going to be.
So now let’s go into your Virtual Reality. Decide to imagine that you have ten million dollars right now sitting in your bank account. (Hey it’s your virtual reality – it can be as much as you want!) How does that feel? Do you feel relief, satisfaction, gratefulness, even giddiness? So now what you do with it first? Pay off all the bills? How would that feel? Wouldn’t you write out those checks with glee? Maybe even with the attitude of “HA! Never have to hear from you again!” to your creditors? What are you going to buy? A new car, new house, a new big screen television? How does that feel? How does it feel to be able to buy anything you want? Imagine going into the car showroom, taking a tour of your new house with your very grateful real estate agent who is going to make a great commission from you, imagine looking at the best televisions in the store. How does it feel? Really get into it. The sights, the sounds, most importantly how you feel physically and mentally. (Feeling plays a huge part in the transition.)
Now there have been times when people have explained to me that sometimes after this process they feel a little letdown. For instance, “you know that sounds great and all, but then when “reality” hits me again and I really can’t pay the bills I feel even worse!”
And while of coarse I can understand where they are coming from at first, I explain to them that there is something much bigger going on here. You see the more you focus on this new reality, the faster it really will be on your way to you.
You see, you get what you think about. It is called the Law of Attraction because that is exactly what it is – a universal law! The more often you do this virtual reality and keep your thoughts on the things you do want to experience as well as feel the feelings that go with it, the quicker universe actually brings it to you because it is now working on this higher vibration. So if you have a fear about doing virtual reality exercises because you are going to feel bad when “reality” hits, you must keep reminding yourself that every time you do do these exercises you new reality is being set in motion faster.
So pay the bills you can pay today (even if it brings on a slightly negative feeling) and then as soon as you are done, immediately go into your $10,000,000 virtual reality. When you are driving your car imagine you have ten million dollars and could drive to almost any store you want to buy anything you desire. When you are washing dishes, running errands, going to and from work, keep imagining how it feels to be a millionaire. Say to yourself “Even though I could afford to hire someone to do these things, I do them myself because it feels good to me. Or I like keeping myself “real” even though I am this rich.” Whatever makes you feel better, because quite frankly, whatever makes you feel better is where the vibrational action is!

The Most Important Thing The Movie "The Secret" Didn't Tell You
Let me start by saying I love the movie The Secret. I find it inspiring, enlightening, and fun to listen to. I even bought the CD's which I keep in my car and in my portable CD player that I pop in anytime I would like a dose of inspiration. As fun as the movie and CD's are however, there have been some very important points left out that can make all the difference in making The Universal Law of Attraction work for you.
The most important concept that was left out was the concept of taking Action. In reading and listening to interviews given by some of the stars of the movie I found out that quite a lot of footage that discussed the concept of taking action was left on the cutting room floor. Either due to lack of time, or maybe because it broke the "feel good flow" the movie was trying to create. Whatever the reason, it is an extremely important part of what makes the Law of Attraction work. An imperative part!
Now I know this may cause a few people to feel disheartened to hear this. I remember when I first realized it (quite a few years ago) that I had felt that way too. I wanted it to be easier than that. I wanted the genie that popped out and said your wish is my command without having to do anything on my end.
I am not even talking from a laziness point of view. I am speaking more from being so overwhelmed in dealing with day to day things that I didn't believe I could find time to even think about, let alone take, new actions in other areas. (Another big misconception by the way.)
You see I later discovered that the problem I had (and I know a lot of others do too) is how I felt about the word "action" Action to me in the traditional sense of the word meant "work", or that it had to be hard, or that it had to be something I didn't want to do.
And I found when I tried to take "action" from that point of view absolutely nothing worked out for me. I even started to think the whole Law of Attraction thing was a bunch of hooey. It wasn't until I discovered the key was not to just take "action" - but "inspired action." that things started to change.
Here's the deal. If we were meant to have everything we wanted the second we snapped our fingers we would have no need to be on this physical planet. Heck we can do that in other realms. We chose to be on this planet to create physically. We came to this planet to purposely experience the time delay that occurs between the time we decide to create something and the time it takes for us to experience it. We chose this time delay to give ourselves the chance to change and remold our desires as new and better ideas come to us and we can be more clear about what it is exactly that we are wanting. And I for one am very grateful for that delay! Can you imagine how many regrets we might have if some of our thoughts (especially ones in anger) came through immediately?
So the question is, what is the difference between "have-to" action and inspired action? Inspired action feels good! "Have-to" action does not. Inspired action feels right! "Have-to" action makes you feel twisted. Inspired action "feels" like the correct next step. "Have-to" action makes you feel resentful.
So how do you go about creating what you want? The first step is for you to decide what it is that you would like to create. The next step is to ask and expect Universe to help bring it to you in the easiest way possible. The last step is to take some kind of inspired action to start the ball rolling.
For example: Let us say that your goal is to get a very heavy suitcase up to the 5th floor of a building. Now if you were to just sit on the curb with the suitcase and take no action expecting Universe to handle it all - that suitcase isn't going anywhere.
Your second option can be to stick with your old way of thinking. Convincing yourself that this is going to be a long and arduous task and you start looking for the huge staircase that you are going to use to drag the darn thing up there.
Or you can use the Law of Attraction way. State to the Universe your intention of getting this suitcase up to the 5th floor as easily as possible and believe that Universe will step in to show you the way. Take the action of grabbing the suitcase by the handle and starting towards the building and then ask the person who just happens to be standing there if they have any ideas that can help you -- where they will then point you towards an elevator that you hadn't noticed before.
You see, the Law of Attraction is real and it will work for you. But it also needs your help. Decide what it is that you want to accomplish. State to the Universe this is your goal and you want help to accomplish it as easily as possible. Then take the first step you can do to start accomplishing that goal. You will be amazed how easily things will fall into place once you get the ball rolling!

Manifestation Exercise # 7 - Eliminate The Negative Past and Get A Fresh Start
Imagine that you have this friend. Your best friend. A friend who has been through everything with you in life, all of your ups and downs.
Now at times you think this friend is great! Who would you be without this friend? There is just one little thing though about this friend that drives you crazy. He or she just lives to criticize you.
They remind you of every embarrassing thing you have ever done, every mistake that you have ever made. They can make you feel guilty, jealous, and angry like no one else on the planet can.
They tell you that you will never be more than you are now. That you should just be grateful for what you have because what makes you think that you are so special and entitled to anything more?
They tell you to get real. That you will never get that dream girl or guy, they are way out of your league. They say you will never get that promotion because you are just not smart enough.
On and on they go everyday telling you what you cannot be, have or do.
Now you might be thinking, who on Earth would want a friend like that?
The answer is you if you are still letting that pesky thing called Ego run your life. Read the above statements again and see if that "friend" sounds familiar to you.
We originally created the Ego to help us stay focused on our own unique experiences while on Earth. Because we are in fact All One, we needed a sort of tuner to help keep us focused on our own station and have a way to "tune out" all the other traffic out there. Otherwise we would just be hearing all the other gibberish from all the other parts of ourselves (the millions of other people on our planet right now).
The problem however began when we started giving that Ego too much power and mistakenly started to believe that the tuner was in fact our "identity". When we started to believe everything it told us was truth.
Our next mistake was in believing that everything that has happened up in our lives until today has now defined who we are going to be tomorrow. Another trick of that pesky Ego. It has now established our identity and it doesn't want to give it up easily. It likes itself just where it is. It feels safe and easy...even if you are miserable.
So now when you say "I'm going to lose weight and get in shape over the next few months" the Ego says "Uh. Uh, Uhhhh. No we are not. I am comfortable here. I don't like change. We have now established ourselves as a "slightly overweight person" and I don't feel comfortable changing that label." And then it goes into a whole bunch of reasons why you won't be able to do it. It will tell you things like "You've tried it a million times before and it's never worked so why even bother." Or "you're never going to find time to go to the gym a couple of times a week." or "Eating food that is good for you is boring" or any of the one million things it will try to come up with. I am sure you can fill in any blanks from your own pesky little voice.
So now...what do you do?
You need to shake that little sucker up. Throw it off its tracks. Shock the heck out of it!
How do you do this?
You focus on the moment of NOW!
You see, the Ego can only survive on the past. All of the criticism, guilt, negative talk and thoughts all stem from things that it has made connections with from your past.
If you choose to live in this NOW moment there is nothing for it to feed off of anymore.
You can be a new person as of this MOMENT. It does not matter a lick what happened in your childhood, or past relationships. It doesn't matter how many mistakes you have made or how many failures you have had. That is in the Past. It's over. There is nothing that can be done about any of that.
All that matters is right NOW. This moment. Right NOW you can be anything you want to be! And there is no one to tell you differently.
So what is the exercise?
Grab a pad or open a fresh page on your word processor.
Imagine that you just arrived on this Earth for the first time this morning.
You have absolutely no preconceived notions about anything.
Everything around you is fresh and new. You are amazed at all the unbelievable experiences you can have while you here on this planet. It is like the biggest playground you have ever seen!
Write down all your impressions. Even the smallest thing. Imagine you were writing someone "back home" and explaining all of the wonderful things down here on this planet there are to experience.
Tell them about the food! You discover there are at least 25 different places you can eat with hundreds of food choices within blocks of you. Tell them about the people! There are so many you can meet, have fun with, laugh with, share things with. Tell them about all the millions of ways people have to make money while they are here. Explain how you can't imagine anyone not being able to earn a fantastic living while here doing something they love because there are just so many options!
How about where you live? Explain how cool your house and apartment are. Explain about cell phones, televisions, computers, etc.
For the next few days keep acting like everything you see around you is brand new Everything is possible for you because "you have never tried them before".
And if that pesky ego tries to thwart your fun be sure to say to it "I don't know who you are or where you get your pessimistic ideas little fellow but I know that I am entitled to experience every good thing down here just be being here. So I think you better move on and find someone to tell your silly fantasies to.
You will be amazed at how differently you will see the world and all of your possibilities when you look at them with fresh eyes.

Manifestation Exercise #6 - Become the Writer and Director Of Your Life
"All the world's a stage, And all the men and women merely players" For some reason I have always liked that saying. It just seems to roll easily off the tongue. I can't even tell you how many times I have heard other people quote it as well.
In the past I understood that quote to mean something totally different than I what I believe it means now. Back then (before my learning and studying) when I heard or thought about that quote, I took it to mean that I was merely one of the players taking "direction" from a higher authority "up there" and was just merely acting out a play that was being scripted without my input.
As I started learning more about the creative power each of us has and the Law of Attraction however, I started realizing that it was me, myself, that was writing and directing the whole production. I was the one hiring the actors, writing the scenes and designing the sets.
For example, the person I am married to was "hired" by me (after quite a few bad auditions by other actors I might add). The "set" has been designed by me. I realize as I look around me now that it was me who put up that mirror, painted the wall that color and picked those couches.
And I also realized that I am the one who continually decides which role different actors are going to portray in my play everyday, as well as where the scenes are going to take place.
So where is the exercise in this? It is time for you to see yourself as the writer and director of your own life.
If there is anything you are unhappy with in your life, it is time for you to rewrite the script.
With pen and paper in hand, visualize that you are in fact a writer and director sitting in an empty auditorium watching your "production" play out in front of you. What is working and what isn't?
How does your main character (you, of coarse) look? Are you happy with their appearance? Is there something you would like to change? Thinner, healthier, different clothes, different style?
Are they optimistic and funny? Sarcastic or angry? Do they wallow in self-pity that annoys you to hear from your seat in the auditorium? Do they keep saying the same thing over and over again? Things like "this will never work" or "I'll never get what I want" or "Why can't I do this"? As an objective observer how does this sound to you now?
What about the other characters you created in their life? Are they helping the main character or doing more harm than good? Are they upbeat? Are they supportive? Do they help the main character along or hinder them?
What about the set? Is your main character living in a place that one would consider pleasing or dreary? Is it fresh and clean or a chaotic disaster?
Where does that character work? Is it someplace inspiring, uplifting,
with the potential of growing into something bigger? Does this job move the character's story along? Or is it monotonous, boring and seeming to go nowhere?
There are two main objectives with this exercise. 1. To take a step back from your emotions and try to view your life from the perspective of an objective observer and 2. Remember that it is indeed you who is in charge of how this production plays out on a moment to moment basis.
Now that you have written down your observations (and be honest about what you are viewing - keep your emotions out of it this first draft) it is now time for editing.
Grab your eraser and erase the things that aren't working for you. Better yet, physically cross them out - slash lines through them viciously - as you tell yourself "that is definitely going in the wrong direction" and rewrite what you would like to see happen.
Know as you do this that you are in fact taking back control of your own story; instead of letting your main character wander around in circles on stage just acting and reacting mindlessly to the actions of the other characters.
Remember that you are the director as well. Up till now your play has run amok with no direction. Jump into your directors chair and state step by step what it is going to happen next and how you have decided this play is going to unfold.
For instance: State that the main character (you) is going to walk into the job interview "scene" full of confidence. The main character is going to meet a great new employer character that is friendly and has a great sense of humor. See both characters hitting it off wonderfully. See the smile on your main characters face as they turn to the audience and give a jubilant "Yes!" to the audience that they have found the job they want with a person they like. Imagine the members in the audience applauding and laughing at the awesome display of excitement!
Then do this with your other scenes. Write down the great romance, the pleasant sets, the fun scenes with friends, the warm scenes with family.
As you do this, you will receive a clearer view of what you are wanting to create in your life as well as remembering that you are in fact the writer and director of your own life. Remember there is no one outside of you writing this play. It is all yours!
So go write the production you have always dreamed of. And believe with all of your heart that each scene you write will have no other option but to come to fruition. After all...you are the author. No one gets to write this story except for you!

Having A Bad Day? Learn To Turn It Around NOW!
We've all had those kind of days. You know the one where the alarm doesn't go off, you stub your toe as you get out of bed, there's no hot water, you're out of coffee, and you just know it is going to be a horrible day.
So now that your day has started like this, how much worse are you going to allow it to get? That's right. I'm asking you what you are going to do about it?
Many people bristle at the thought that they have any responsibility towards it at all. I mean after all "everyone has a bad day once in awhile." You just do your best to get through it, How many times have you thought to yourself "I just wish this day was over already so I could start over again tomorrow."
What a horrible waste of today that would be! You have the ability to turn it around right this moment!
So often we fall into the mistaken belief that "fate" has its own agenda in our lives and that we do not have any control over the way it goes sometimes. To learn how to create the big things you are wanting in your life, you need to start learning how to control the little ones.
If you have a day that starts out badly, it is your job to say "O.K. That's enough! I've already had 3 bad things happen today - that's enough bad things to last me for a week. From here on it - only good comes my way!"
Then take notice of all the small indications that your "luck" is indeed turning around.
For instance, in the past I've had mornings where I've overslept, looked outside to find it was pouring rain and was not going to make me and my son's 5 block walk to school very pleasant, my son informed me that he forgot to complete an assignment that was due that day, I had no milk for my coffee or his breakfast, the dog whined at the thought of having to go out in the rain...whatever the annoyances might have been.
In the old days, I would have taken these things as a horrible "sign" that things were just going to keep being that bad, if not worse the rest of the day. For some reason, like so many other people, I thought that somehow "fate" had dictated this and there was nothing I could do about it except struggle through it.
Then as I read more and learned more about the Law of Attraction, I realized how silly it was to believe that just because a few bad things had happened in the morning that the rest of the day had to be that way too. I realized how "brainwashed" I had unconsciously become that I never stopped to ask myself "Who says? Who says it has to be this way all day? Where did I get this silly idea, and why do I let it play out again and again?"
That's when I started using the saying that I mentioned a few paragraphs above. "Enough already! I'm turning this around now!"
The reason I am dedicating a whole article to this is because I feel it is really important for people to notice if they have these unconscious beliefs themselves. Because unfortunately people can play out this "bad luck thing" for far longer than just one day. I've heard people say "this is the worst week ever, the worst month, the worst year; I've even heard people say it is the worst decade of their lives!
Well what can you expect to happen if you get that belief in your head? The worst year or even decade?!
Once you have that kind of belief in your mind, you can be sure that you are going to look at and experience one bad thing after another. Worse than that, you will completely ignore any good things that happen and deliberately "focus" on only the negative things, just to prove that you are, in fact, correct and that this is indeed the worst possible week, month or year in your life!
It is amazing sometimes how our minds only see what we direct them to. You can have 3 bad things happen and 4 good things, yet you will find yourself only focusing on the bad to prove your own point to yourself and anyone around you who will listen, that you were right all along. But that is such a waste of precious time that you can be creating wonderful experiences in your life.
Maybe you do it for unconscious sympathy from yourself and from others. Maybe the whole "fate" thing was just something you picked up along the way like I had. It doesn't matter which way these thoughts came about. All that matters is that it is time to regain control over your own destiny and decide to turn it around now!
So the next time you feel like your day is "cursed" take notice and consciously decide to turn it around. You are in control here and you decide to put an end to it right now! You decide that a ton of good things are coming your way today to more than make up for the rough start, and more importantly decide that you are going to notice each and every positive one of them.
Before you know it, the positive will far outweigh the negative and you can turn the worst day of your life into the best one ever!

Law of Attraction - Have You Made Room For It?

Manifestation Exercise # 4 - Create More Money With The Prosperity Game
This is another exercise first introduced by Abraham Hicks that I have found to be extremely helpful in creating more money in my life.
Quite often many of us say that we want more money. But because the idea of "really having" a lot of money is so foreign to us - we find it very hard to create it from our current experience.
Because we continually experience lack and are so used to working from that perspective, it is very hard to "really" imagine what having a lot of money "feels" like. And as you know the Law of Attraction works from our "beliefs" and "feelings" about what we are trying to attract.
This is where the Prosperity Game comes in. The Prosperity Game is a practice of receiving checks from "the Universe" that doubles in its amount every day. Each day as you accept this check it is your job to spend every cent of it. Sounds easy right? But, if you are not used to having a lot of money you will be surprised how hard it is at first to stretch your imagination. This is the most important part of the game. The game is designed so you can practice stretching your limited ideas about money and to get an understanding of what it really "feels" like to have unlimited amount of money at your disposal.
Here are the basics of how the game works, then we will go into the various ways you can play. Every day you will receive a virtual check from the Universe, and each day thereafter it will double in size. So, on day one you will receive a check for $1,000. You need to then spend that entire $1,000 by the end of that day. List each thing you will buy with it and the approximation of what it will cost. The next day you receive a check for $2,000. Again you must spend it all. The next day, $4,000, then $8,000, then $16,000, etc. Each day the day's before amount doubles. Sound easy enough? You would be surprised how hard it gets when you reach the $100,000 mark.
Now here is the catch. The first rule is you cannot give it away freely to anyone unless it is for a special occasion, i.e., birthday, anniversary, etc. The reason behind this is going with the thought that EVERY one of us can create any amount we desire at any time and that lack is not possible for anyone on this Earth. It is an important part of the exercise to get it into your subconscious that everyone had the same entitlement to create whatever they want in life and it helps to remind you of each persons ability to do this anytime you feel tempted to give them money. (The exception to this rule is if your future plans are to start up your own charity. Then you may list all the things you would need to purchase for it to be successful.)
The second rule is to not put it into any kind of savings unless you saving up for something specific like a house. The reason behind this is that "saving" in its traditional form infers that someday there might not be any more coming in and that you will need money to "fall back on." If you are a true creator and believer you will realize that there will never be a day when more than enough money is not constantly coming in for your use. Also if you are going to save for the "dream house" it's probably better that you not do that until your money has reached at least the $100,000 mark. This way you get used to spending the smaller amounts every day.
Different Ways to Play This Game
There are several ways to do this game. It is up to you which inspires you or is the most comfortable for you.
Use Actual Checks:
Do you have any old bank accounts that you have since closed but couldn't make yourself throw out the box of checks that went with them? They are perfect for this game. Get a blank white envelope and on the front of it write something like: Dear Your Name Here: We love you so much we have decided to give you an allowance for the rest of your life. You deserve this money just for being who you are, because who you are is perfect. This money will double in value everyday because we know that the value of you as a being doubles everyday. Use this abundance to create whatever it is you are wanting to create today and know and trust you will always have more than enough for all that you need. Love Universe (or Higher Self, whichever you prefer).
Then write out the first check for $1,000. Write it To: your name; write in the amount on the line and in the number box. In the Comments portion write: Simply Because You Are and Sign It: Love Universe.
Put this check in the envelope you wrote the other message listed above and place both under your pillow each night before you go to sleep. When you wake up in the morning, always read the message on the front of the envelope first, staple the check to a blank page in a notebook and underneath write down how you are going to spend today's money. This is a great exercise for tactile people that like to see and feel the experience of money. The opening of the envelope, the removal of the check and the handwritten ways to spend it. If you are the type of person who writes checks and pays their bills by mail this is probably the best exercise for you, because you enjoy or are comfortable with the "feel" of money.
Build Your Own Spreadsheet
This exercise is for people more comfortable with the computer. It is very simple to create a spreadsheet or word document for this exercise. Type the "envelope saying" listed in the above example on the first page of your word document or spread sheet. Be sure to read this first every day to remind yourself of why you are receiving this money. Then each day start a new page of the document with the new daily amount and type below it what you are purchasing today.
Great Online Program or Have It Emailed To You Daily.
If you are the type of person who loves interacting with the computer this is the perfect program for you. It is totally free and currently has over 22,000 active users. It will customize your "checks" every time you visit. Even if you miss a day - it will pick up from where you left off. The fun of this game is it asks you to focus on what you are wanting, how strong your desire is, how strong your resistance may be when you have to spend your money for the day and it will keep track of every entry so you can always go back and check on previous "purchases" or to see how far you have come. It even has a 21 day email program where they will send your "personalized checks" in the mail until doing the exercise becomes a habit.
Unfortunately many article directories will not let me put direct links into the body of my articles but if you click on my web address listed in the author box below, my homepage has the direct link to the on-line version titled The Prosperity Game. Like I mentioned before it is totally free and a really fun way to play the game.
Any which way you decide to play the game will be effective. So many of us say that we want to create more money in our lives, but we are so used to living inside our comfort zone that we no longer dream or stretch our minds to the possibility of what having unlimited money really means.
We sometimes get so caught up in just having enough money for the necessities that we have forgotten that we are allowed to extend our desires to the things we are just simply wanting or desiringto experience.
So go give it a try. You might be surprised what you find out about yourself. You may find you place limits on your desires that you weren't even aware of. Or find that spending all this money on yourself feels a little uncomfortable at first, because deep down you have forgotten that you are naturally deserving of all your desires.
The most important thing you will get out of this exercise however, is experiencing how it really "feels" to have unlimited abundance.
Remember the Law of Attraction brings you what you feel and think abut. So start learning how to think and feel true unlimited abundance and watch how it changes the "real" money you receive everyday.
